The Leslie family have been the custodians of the stunning ‘Glaslough’ or Green Lake for generations. The lake is brimming with monster pike, and fishermen widely consider it to be one of Ireland’s best preserved loughs. In fact, in 1991 a fisherman reeled in a catch weighing 38lb 9oz (17.5kg) and broke Ireland’s 18 year record.

Choose to stay in the Castle, the Lodge or if you prefer your independence, why not reserve a self-catering Old Stable Mews. These luxury self-catering homes are perfect for groups and families.

Fishing is open to residents and non-residents. The charge is per person per day and does not include the hire of a fishing rod. However, it does include the use of a boat.

€100 per person (residents) and €150 per person (non residents).

Times permitted are from 8:00am – 5:00 pm (not permitted when a private event is taking place in The Castle).

Maximum number per week – 10 fishermen.

Bookings must be made 72 hours in advance and are subject to availability.
