The Irish Accommodation Services Institute (IASI), formerly the Association of Hotel Accommodation Management was founded in 1985 and was formed by a group of people who were working in different fields within the Hospitality Industry as a forum to promote standards and share experiences within the accommodation sector. It is extremely active in promoting best practice standards.
The council team are IASI members who organise and drive the organisation, planning its meetings and the annual conference, exhibition and gala ball. It is a voluntary job requiring a lot of dedication. The association is continuously looking for education and training for Accommodation Managers and Supervisors.
The IASI in its promotion of excellence through people has developed a number of courses for its members in conjunction with third party trainers, these have included courses in supervision, leadership, budgeting and coaching. They all cover very important aspects of every accommodation manager’s role. For further details, please visit www.iasi.ie
