Castle Leslie Estate is dedicated to the comfort and convenience of all our guests, particularly those who use a wheelchair or may require special assistance to fully enjoy their stay with us. We have accessible bedrooms in The Lodge, located on the ground floor and Desmond’s Room in The Castle, located at basement level.  Our accessible bedrooms are designed for comfort and space for wheelchair users to move freely and transfer to the bed comfortably.  Our accessible bedrooms feature adaptations to enable mobility and ensure safety, so that every aspect of your stay is relaxing.

The accessible bedrooms in The Lodge have a bespoke modular system whereby the accessories can be added and taken away depending on the accessibility required. The towel rail, sink, hand rail beside the toilet, soap holder and shower seat can all be moved on the rail system bespoke to guest requirements in each bedroom. In addition, the sink in each bedroom can be lowered or heightened according to the guests’ requirements.  Both The Lodge and The Castle offer accessible car parking spaces.

In our spa, The Victorian Treatment Rooms there is a ground floor treatment room that can accommodate guests with mobility issues. Our relaxation rooms are also accessible and on the ground floor.

The Equestrian Centre at Castle Leslie Estate is accessible from The Lodge or via the main gates into the yard.  The Equestrian Centre has a wheelchair ramp and accessible toilet in the viewing gallery.

The Castle is accessible from the Castle car park and has an accessible toilet in the long gallery. There is a platform lift that allows access from our conservatory to the remainder of the Castle and an elevator that allows access to all bedroom floors.
